Some of us were born in Nepal with family members from Bhutan. Some of us were born in Nepal and migrated to Bhutan, and some of us were born in Bhutan itself. But we are all of Nepalese origin and culture, and our people were kicked out of Bhutan in an ethnic cleansing. Most of us lived in refugee camps in Nepal, in very difficult circumstances, for nearly two decades. Eventually we were given refugee status by the Untied States. That is how we ended up in Tucson, Arizona. But we believe this was God's doing. He has sent over sixty thousand Nepalese\Bhutanese refugees to live in the USA in recent years! In Bhutan there was very little freedom of religion. But now God is powerfully opening the hearts of our people to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. About half of our congregation came to the United States as Hindus, and it is here that we found our precious Savior, the Lord Jesus.
Bhutanese refugees were placed in several cities throughout the United States, including in Tucson, Arizona. Several found Jesus here. When we all get together to worship the Lord, there are more than sixty of us. But there is still a lot of people who need to hear about Jesus. It is our heart's prayer and vision to reach out to all the Nepalese\Bhutanese people within our reach to share the love of God with them, and the salvation found only in Jesus Christ.
We are truly grateful for your prayers for us, our congregation and for all the Nepali people.
